Hey people....

I remember a time when I use to be active with this forum.
I am sorry I havent been able to continue doing that....

Life seems to have taken some harsh roads...
I am currently waiting for my Name Check to clear.
Me and my wife has reached a stage where there are chances that we may not continue...:-(.....

Although, nothing is decided as yet,but it seems...it can happen any time....
We are going thru the most roughest phase...
I just want to know what are my options in that case.
I am currently on my H1 which stays valid till 2008.

If I get my Conditional GC does that mean that my H1 expires?

Suppose I get my GC and after that we file for divorce,I will like to surrender my GC.
In that case can I get back on my H1?

Also,my company is willing to sponsor my GC.
Shud I go ahead and apply for the GC thru my company rightaway?

Is there anyone who has actually surrendered their GC?

Appreciate ur help...

Thanks,
tapskap.

Sorry to hear about your misery. In my opinion atleast its a good thing if your company is willing to sponsor your GC. You'd have an excellent opportunity to talk to your company's imigration lawyers/firm about your case(as they could be the best source to answer all your questions), but you need to have all your facts clear in front of you before doing so. BTW did you try talking to your wife about this situtaion and ask for her opinion?

Just my 2 cents.

Wish you good luck.

I have not spoken to my wife as yet...but in any case even if she says...'u can keep the GC'....I know people change and their minds change....I dont want her to believe even the slightest bit that I may have married her for GC....
