Name check in GC and USC

The name check in GC takes a lot of time, sometimes several years? Will that name check be done all over again in application for citizenship?

Yes, since they are different immigration applications. However, a name check delay in GC doesn't necessarily lead to name check delay in N-400 since delays are due to various reasons (ie. backlogs) that may not always be present when applying.
