Name check. FBI/Senator/Congressman letter template.

Had my interview yesterday in El Monte, CA. The decision could not be made due to name check pending. I noticed a piece of paper on the officer’s desk with various combinations of my first, middle and last name. The date was marked as July 14th. Does it mean they submitted my application for the name check shortly before my interview? I had my fingerprints taken on April 8th, so I assume the name check process starts at the same time or even earlier. The officer said they have no power over FBI, and no action is required on my part. He also told me, that FBI clears up majority of name check requests within 120 days, but first of all, it's over 120 days since I applied, and secondly, from what I’ve already read on this forum, I conclude that this process may take forever unless asking for certain help. Due to several reasons I want my citizenship ASAP. I am thinking of sending a letter to FBI, both senators and the congressman. Does anybody here have a letter template to be sent to all these people? I know CA senators, but how do I find a congressman? (I live in LA County). Should I use snail mail, email or fax? Any other tips will be appreciated.

i would be surprised if USCIS sent your name check to FBI on July 14th thou. they should have sent your name check request before or after your FP (mostly before).

may be the july 14th was the last time they checked with FBI and see if your name check was cleared?

not sure about the fax. i heard you can send them snail mail or email.

FInger Print dates?
Interview leeter date?
Interview date? etc
Also, if you are using online tracking , did ur message change after approval? Please let me know as I am waiting for my interview. Thanks

FP: April 8th
Interwiew letter received: June 1st
Interwiew: July 14th

Guys, A lot of people here wrote to their congressmen/senators... Please share the template. I don't even know how to refer to these big politicians. :confused:
Does anybody have an address of the FBI name check department? Or should I write to the Headquarter and put a mark: attn: Name Check Department. I've already sent them an email, but from what I've read here, it would take 2-3 months to get the response. When it takes less than a months to get a response if you mail/fax your request. I want to find out when my name check was initiated, and contact my congressman (found on www.house.gov) in 121 days from that date.
 
What is considered to be good reasons (hardship) besides the long processing time, to ask for Senatorial intervention?
Sponsoring fiancee/spouse/other relatives?
Looking for a job with security clearance?
etc?

i think the 120 days means to be after your interview date thou. not the date when your name check was requested.

i might be wrong.
 
have anyone got the letter template too?

i am in the same boat of many other people...


stucked in name check / background check pending.

i was asked to write to the officer after 120 days (starting the count down today) if i have not heard anything from her.
