Hi,
i just called uscis to inquire about the name check, thanks to god it has been cleared in 8 months, i think letters sent to FBI finally worked for me.
name check done: 21st-june-07

Did you write any letters directly to the FBI or to Senators, First Lady, Ombudsman etc. ? If so, please provide details of whom and to which address you mailed them to. My NC is pending for almost 3 years now.

i saw a lud on 06-08-07and 06/10/07, but when i called up on this monday IO told me it is still in pending, today i called up again and asked about the security clearence and name check she said it has been completed.

letter to first lady i think didn't work for me as i didn't get any respons back from her, wrote senator got a respons that i am pending in name check and there is nothing he can do about it or expedite it, Congresswoman i sent letter to her twice got a respons back from her that she is inquiring about it with USCIS, after a month she replied backl again i am stucked in name check and she can't do anything to expidite it, however if nothing happens on my case till next year june i should contact her again, Wrote letters to FBI section cheif, name check program cheif, directors, 4 weeks ago? and i think that worked for me finally... let see what happens next, I would say never giveup hope keep on trying every channel cuz u never know what may work ? if you just sit n wait blv me nothing is gona happen

Thanx, Syed. When you say "section chiefs" and "directors" , can you please tell whom you are referring to ? If you can provide names and mailing addresses, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Also, what was the approximate turnaround time since you wrote the letters to the FBI ? One last question, would you mind telling your state of residence. I live in NJ and have written to the local senators here and wondering by any chance if you are the in the same state, then I will know what to expect from them (i.e. the senators).

yes i did attach a copy of my AsC appointment and 485
syed2, how did you find out those details... how did you get from FBI site.. please help us. so I can find people related to my location.

those idiots don't what they are saying. Everyt month I called in. They sometime said it was cleared. sometime said pending. When asked why my case is pending if it is cleared, they will try other excuses like background check or interagence check, ask to call again. This time they have no excuse then just saying NOT out of the processing time.

Is Name Check pending for a long time anything to do with moving???? I have moved 4 times during I-485 process time. My name check is still pending with more than 40 months.
yes it may effect your name check process and cause it to delay further more, It is always recommended not to move after u filed ur 485 petition, there are three types of security back G checks, IBIS FP and Name n birth checks
