letters to senator in KY, and officials in FBI, TSC from this March. but i think senator's following-up play critcal role. last month, his office called me and told that my name check is pending, he couldn't do anything about name check except for inquiry. This afternoon, he called me(not I called his office) that my name check was cleared. He also told me that i have to wait for the visa# now for case approval due to EB2(NIW). I do think the senator office guy is a good guy and know immigration matters well. You know i only submitted my question to the senator's webpage...

My employer contacted the congressman. Neither the employer nor the congressman seems to care or bother. My employer is like a public sector company and I need to poke/push/pray to react.My attoreny is company hired and dances to the tune of my employer

So I would like to contact the Senetor on my own and see what happens
Please let me know
1. If this is a good idea to contact senetor on my own while my employer waits for the congressman to react
2. I live in one of the southern states and how to find the senetor's name and office info
3. What needs to be done once I contact the senetor's office? Like what sort of information they would need?

If your employer already have contacted them then be patient and wait,

YOu may wish to confirm from same cong/sen that they have received ur case req, and about status. but don't send them as new req that may make confuse them too. call them and ask them that they did receive ur req , and ur emply sent them on your behalf, in some polite way. that don't damage relation with ur emp, as well cong/sen ppl don't find u a frusted/pushy person.

Chakbar, i think poj is right, u had better wait for reponse from your employer, because they contacted Senator or Congressman. When I submitted my inquiry to senator, the form had onw item to ask whether you contacted other senator or... you know, if you simutaneously contact 2 or more ...i don't know what's the result... it's onl my suggestion.

Btw, poj, i know u got RFE, even this situation, u have to wait for visa #?

my employer only contacted the congressman .
I am asking, would it be good to contact the senetor on my own. If I understand correctly congressman and senetor are different. Are n' t they?
 
I am answering my own question:
A congressman is a member of the United States
House of Representatives. The number of congressmen per state is
determined by the population of that state (one for every 30,000)--at
a minimum one.

There are two Senators (i.e. members of the Senate) elected for each
State.

So my employer contacted the congressman and not the senator. Can you please let me know if it would be good idea to contact senetor on my own? if so how to find the senetor's name for my state. is there a web site?

Again I am answering one of my questions:

Senetor for a state can be found at http://www.senate.gov/

Congressman can be found at http://www.house.gov

But I think I need your valuable opinion on my questions which is still lingering on.
So my employer contacted the congressman and not the senator. Can you please let me know if it would be good idea to contact senetor on my own?

U can contact senator personally, should be ok, except that FBI will receive a few more inquiries from Senator and Congressman. Do u thnk senator is more powerful thank Congr...? I am not sure. At leaset my senator is reaaly good and powerful, hehe. I sent him letter in July, 1st time no cleared, 2nd cleared, his office follow my case every month, he told me so and he did so. I sent so many letters to FBI, TSC, ombusman,...no resut before July at least.

My senator is McConnell in KY.

Case does fall in EB3 Catagory, and all EB3 around the world are retrogressed.

By the Grace of God, and prays from Loved ones family and friends (of course all of you included :D ) PD narrowly escaped. and PD falls before March 2001(All Other Countries).

My prays are with, all of you friends, who are in that painful wait situation.
I would like to say practice your faith(according ur beliefs) and be patient, and also foucs around you, your loved ones family, and try to find big happiness in small things.

All of you are always remembered in my prays.
