Name check and processing time at St. Louis DO?

I am wondering how long it takes for the BCIS to do the name check, i already had my interview?
Also, if anyone knows that how long st. louis DO takes for N-400's?
I appreciate your help.

Depends on case by case as I have learned from this grp. If I were you, I would be proactive and inquire to FBI abt the status. And to do that, you need to search the thread by Rahul in this grp under "name check" and you will get lots of info.

Also, if anyone knows that how long st. louis DO takes for N-400's?

Check this link. Currently St louis is processing April 30, 2004 cases for N-400 so based on this you can estimate the time.

I faxed the form to FBI and received a letter saying that i do not have any record.
Also, do i need to email Mr. Hardy specifically to find out if they receive a request for the name check from BCIS.

can you tell me how long you waited before hearing back from fbi?
i also faxed my request to them (on oct. 27) but got no response yet...

I've heard they stopped processing faxes. You need to send an email requesting status of your name check...

oops, i made a typo...of course, i e-mailed my name check request - i know they don't process faxes anymore...btw, i still had to fax my foipa request, since it goes to Hardy and i did not know his e-mail address...i think foipa fax should work...
i am just curious how long it takes other folks to get the response back from fbi...
