I have a huge dilemma! My husband wants me to change my last name to his (which is not a problem), but my passport is in my maiden name (without the possibility to change the name on it unless I travel back to my home country). Will I have problems traveling with two documents that have different last names on it (even if I bring marriage certificate along)? Maybe add my maiden name as the middle name? Please advise.

which country are you from. Why cant you call your embassy here and request to renew your pass? It is not a problem to travel with 2 different names, Make sure u cary ur Marriage certificate and also book the ticket on the name which is on ur passport and u will be fine

Have you applied for your green card yet? If yes, DO NOT change your name in the middle of the process or you will risk problems and delays. Wait until the interview, and ask the interviewer to have the green card made with your new last name.
You could do that ... that makes it easier to convince people that you are the same person.
