I know i asked this question before but cldnt find that thread. I changed my name to maiden name due to divorce. I already applied for citizenship last month. My question is do I need to apply for I-90 for name change or just wait for interview and let them know that my name was changed due to divorce.

I am not an expert on this, but I would think that a I-90 (i.e. I think you were planning to change your Green Card) is not needed now, just tell the interviewer. It would be good to take your divorce papers to the interview. I think some offices don't do name change (e.g. San Jose), if they do name change at yours it will delay your case a bit, but shouldn't be too much.

My 2 cents.

I am no specialist either but... the divorce judgment is already a judicial decision allowing to use your maiden name instead of your married name. So the legal divorce papers at the interview should be the required evidence to have your name on the application corrected to your maiden name. Your marital status on the application would need to be updated as well. Given this (and you can double-check with the IO during the interview) you would not need a judicial oath since your corrected application indicating your maiden name would match the name on the Naturalization Certificate and the Birth Certificate.
Just my 2 cents.

I am no expert, but McMahon argument is convincing, a marriage certificate is enough to take a married name without judicial oath, so a divorce paper should do the opposite, also without a judicial oath. It makes sense. :)

I guess McMahon meant your maiden name would match your name on the birth certificate?
