Name change help

I passed my interview but during the process the IO stated my name was different on my application and birth certificate. The name on my application is what I have on all my identification documents (SS, Driver's License, banks, work, etc). IO said that certificate will be issued using the birth certificate name (1 letter difference in my first name). I'd really like to keep the name on my application but now I am set to receive my oath letter and become a citizen. Should I petition for a name change before/during the oath, or just do a name change at the court after the oath?

You can't petition for name change during oath. You can take the oath and file a name change petition through your local court afterwards.
