Name change causing delay in name check

What do you do if you've changed your whole name, including your last name, before you got married? and your new name appears on all the papers including birth certificate?

Do you put down your 'original name' or your 'new name' on the papers you file?

NOTE:if my new name is on my birth certificate, High school diploma, transcript, drivers licence, bank account, passport, marriage certificate/licence and all the papers. The only proof that I've changed my name is that its not the same as my family's last name. Let's say my parents last name is 'Lopez', and I'm the only one in the family that has the last name 'Mendez' since I changed it. Will that be a problem?

And do you ever write down your parents names on a marriage licence/certificate and any of the filed papers? Or do the INS ever ask for your parents names?

And as i stated above, my new name is on all the papers.

I don't want anyone to know I"ve changed my whole name (I dont have a criminal record).I just think my old name sounds ugly...(Trust me, it really does) and I'm afraid if people find out I changed my name they'll think I'm weird and wonder why I would change my whole name. And I think if the INS finds out I changed my name they'll dig even deeper and the whole name check would be delayed.

What are the chances that they (INS/FBI) will find out I changed my name?

And is it best to let them know i"ve changed my name or should I just give them my papers that has my new name on it, and not mention the name change?

Have you filed I-130/I-485? You are asked for your parents' names on form G-325A. Your parents' names are also expected to be on your birth certificate, which you must include with your application. You are also asked to list all names you have ever used. If you ever used "Lopez" instead of "Mendez", then you need to list "Lopez" on your G-325A. You should not withhold this information.
