The naturalization ceremony with name change doesn't have to physically be in a court; USCIS will file name change papers with the court on your behalf, and then they can hold the ceremony outside the court if a judge is there to oversee it.
Jack,
I understand that I am going to have my new name after ceremony. My ceremony probably is going to be in Los Angeles Convention Center. It is not a court. So I thing I will receive in the ceremony the paper with the name change from the court and the naturalization certificate
But If after the ceremony I need to provide a certified copy of name change, could I get it in every court??. I am not sure if the naturalization certificate has both the new and old name and if this is valid proof for different places. i.e credit cards..
Thanks Jack
