Name Change and OCI

I had name change during naturalization process(I took my husband's last name). I am planning to renunciate my Indian passport and apply for OCI. I am wondering if we need to inform Indian consulate about name change before I apply for OCI. If so, Can someone direct me to a link that explains the process to do the same. I searched in the consulate's page and found references to name change on Indian passport but did not find any information on name change during naturalization process.

I went to citizenship interview today. I wanted to change my last name to my husband's first name. But the officer who interviewed me said I cannot change name. I told him few times clearly that I also have a marraige certificate.

Please explain how did you change your name ? What advise you can give me ?
