Name and A# on the back of photo?

Writing name and A# on the back of photo with pencil is very very unreadable (too light). To make it readable, I have to write them down heavily.

With ball-pen, I can write them very light. The instruction says, use pencil not ball-pen.

How did you guys do that? Use pencil or pen?

I am not sure if it is a trick question or not.

short answer: geez... pencil.

I tried a couple different pencils until I found one with a very soft lead that left a mark without damaging the photo.
