N400_Divorce Immediately After Getting GC

Hello Folks,

I need some advice from the experts here. I just filed my N-400 based on a 5-year rule. However, I got my GC through marriage to a USC and we got divorced immediately after getting my 10 year GC. Nothing planned...it was just time time to end our marriage due to several reasons. Anyway, five months later, I got married to another person who's not a USC, but legal under H1B visa. We've been married now for about a year.
My question is in regard to my N-400 application. Should I worry about the fact that I was divorced immediately after getting GC and got married again after 5 moths?
Any input will be very appreciated.

Thank you,

Is this H1B-holding person originally from the same country as you? Did you know them before getting your GC? If yes to either question (especially the second), that fact combined with the rapid sequence of GC-divorce-remarry will raise suspicion of chain-marriage fraud.

What was the rush to marry this new person? If he's from the same country as you, then yes they are going to drill you during the interview. It all depends on your interviewer. If you are unlucky enough to get stuck with someone mean, then yes they sure will give you a hard time by sailing on the suspicious circumstances of your case.

@lost&free...

I think you should be fine. I know a friend who went through a similar situation and passed the interview with no complications. Hope it will be the same for you.

When were you separated and for how long and when did you meet this new person that you married and when did you get married? Also, is this new person from the same country of origin as you?
