N400 Virginia

Hi,

I filed N400 in 3rd week July 2006. Went in for fingerprinting in 3rd week Aug 2006. This is marriage based and non-priority.

I live in Virginia and people at the fingerprinting center were (on Route 1, Alexandria) saying I should get an interview letter in 2-3 months. My GC was done through the Arlington office.

Is there anywhere I can check what the wait period is? Will my letter come from Vermont Service Center.

Is it a problem if you don't have kids? Is it a problem if you just quit your job for health reasons?

Confused and worried.

Letter will come from local office in VA.I dont think job or child will be issue.As long as your spouse is on the same page as you are.But if there are perosnal issues between you both .Immgration will look at the case with magnifying glass.Happened to buddy of mine.He wife went for interview without him.Officer called him at work to verfy her case and if marriage is still valid and existing.Plus did exenteded interview. :cool:

What do you mean by "marriage based and non-priority"? You probably know this, but it is N400 and not N4000.

N400 Processing Virginia Resident

...thanks...hubby and I are on the same page alright :-)

I checked my status online and it said my case is at the Vermont Service center...but I can't see a processing time for N-400 under Vermont and there is nothing for VA under district office.

Even the lady who did my fingerprinting said most people get an interview letter in 2-3mths.

I just meant that my husband filed for me. I realised there is no priority for such cases. Sorry for the confusion but I am such a luddite in this area.
 
Check under Washinton DC.My sister in law got hers pretty fast too.I have heard and seen females get interview faster than males.I guess name clear faster than males.
