Difference between "FP date" & "Oath Ceremony Date"
SO far I know that
If the difference between "Finger print date" & "Oath ceremony date" is more than 15 months then you have to take again the FP & you have to WAIT ......wait.........& Wait....................
Prabha,
Did you hear anything about your interview? When did you apply for N-400? According to www.imwong.com they are interviewing people who have PD of Jan 6, 2002 in Cleveland.
Regarding bring your wife, I would strongly advise you to take DCF route (if they are still doing it in New Delhi for visiting US citizen). That route seems to be the best way to bring your wife here. I plan to follow that route for my wife after getting my citizenship.
I come under their INS Cleveland sub office in Franklin County. So far they were reporting that they are at par with Cincinatti. If you look under the imwong 11/2002 posting that is what it shows. I heard that when people started complaining to Public offices then they corrected it and now they are telling they are processing the July/ Aug 2001 applicants. This current date is reflected in the 02/2003 imwong processing report.
It looks like lot of cheating is going on regarding processing time report by individual offices to show that they are efficiently processing. When people started complaining to the Public Offices actual truth comes out.
When sponsoring wife I 130 requires financial responcibility form filled up. In that form they are asking the current salary details, Bank balances etc.
Does any body know roughly what bank balances required
for range of salaries. This is for a person who never sponsored
any body before.
Suppose if a person earns 10 K per annum they may be require a bankbalnce of 50K. If a person earns 20K per annum the bank balance may be 40 K. Is there anything like that exists or they ask the details but if the person is employed and with resonable bank balance they approve the application.
read I-864 closely. if you are employed and salary is above 125% of poverty, you could skip "asset" section. Poverty level is very low around 10k. so if you have a job (even at Walmart), you are not required to disclose bank or house, etc.
I was looking at I 134 form. That is also affidavit of Support form. Now only I came to know that I864 (Different affidavit of support form) has to be filed for immediate family members.
Eventhough I864 does not ask for asset listings....it ask for last 3years of Income tax forms. If we simply make the photo copies of whatever COPY we have of the 1040 form we filed is that they require or officially we got to obtain the copy of the 1040 form we filed from IRS
Ram,
I was just looking what items are necessary to sponsor my would be wife...so I had a look and in one of the forms it was mentioned that I have to fill the support form. I looked on the INS site and ordered I134. In that they were asking for asset details. So I posted in this forum asking what sort of bank balances expected by INS.
Another member answered to look in the I864 form details and we do not have to submit the details of assets if our income is more than the poverty level. So, I looked the form I864 details. Then only I came to know that I864 needs to be filled for sponsoring the immediate family members not I134. Both are support forms though.
What forms did you look into and find that AOS(affidivit of support form)I_134 or I-864? I'am in a similar situation trying to get my wife a k3 visa, starting with I-130,I-129f and eventually a k3 for her.
