N400-Part 6A: Information about your residence

Hi,

I have been out of the country for 3 mos, 2 mos and so on, but never more than 3 mos in the last 5 years. When completing the details on Part 6A: Information about your residence the instructions state that I must include all the places I have lived including outside of USA. During the time I was out of the US, I was employed by a US firm and was paying taxes. I was just out on an extended business trip.

Given my situation, two questions:

1. In terms of days, how long of a stay constitutes living at a particular place? In other words, if I stay at a particular place for 2-3 mos, does it mean that I am living there?

2. Based on the answer to question #1, I am wondering should I record the addresses of all the places I've been outside the US for an extended period (>1 mo) of time?

Thanks,
Vishwa

In other words, what was your principle place of residence during your trips outside the US. If your US residence continued to be your main residence, then you would only include US residence. This is normally the case for business trips.
