N400 in Portland, Oregon

Hello everyone,

I'm a getting ready to file N400 at the INS in Portland, Oregon. Could anyone give me some idea as to how long it takes to get approval? I'll appreciate any help very much. Thanks.

Check out the processing times at

Search for N-400 processing times for your city using the "District Office" search.

There are some varying opinions on what processing time means:

1) It could mean that people who applied during this time are getting their interviews.

2) It could mean that people who applied during this time are taking their oaths.

In either case, check it every few weeks - they update it every so often. It will give you a general idea as to how fast your case might be moving.

In case you haven't already, search this forum for other posts on Portland. There might be a tracking thread for Oregon cases already.

Portland Processing

It is taking around 4 and half months to process N-400 in PDX. i HAVE BEEN TRACKING THE PROCESSING TIMES SINCE THE LAST 6 TO 8 MONTHS AND HAS BEEN DECREASING STEADILY FROM ABOUT 6 AND HALF MONTHS TO AROUND 4 MONTHS. Just sent mine in on 10/19/04. Please post, if you receive anything from Nebraska
