N400 - Greer, SC - Update Status _ Initial Notice

Hello,

Just wanted to give you an update on my N400 Case. I just called USCIS and they told me that i was in Interview Queue Since Sep 23rd, and today they said Yesterday they mailed out an Initial Interview Notice.


Not sure, what that means. Do all of you get an Initial Interview. From what i have been reading in the Forums, i thought everyone has one interview.

Can someone please share their Experiences....

They said i should get my notice in the mail in a couple of days.

DO: Greer - SC
GC Received October, 04
N400 Applied
08/25/09 - Fedex to lock box
08/26/09 - Receipt Notice
08/27/09 - NOA received
09/03/09 - Online changed to RFE
09/05/09 - LUD
09/07/09 - FP received
09/22/09 - FP Appointment ( Original Appointment )
09/18/09 - FP Complete ( Finished Early )
09/18/09 - FP Results sent back to USCIS.
10/01/09 - Initial Interview Notice Mailed.

Sorry for the trouble. I was told an Initial Interview Notice has been mailed, can anyone let me know what this actually means ??

I am very tensed :-( :confused::confused:

Go for a massage to ease your tension...:eek: The last time I read, USCIS didn't offer any massages to ease applicants tension...:) It simply means that USCIS has mailed you a letter inviting you to appear in person for your N400 interview. The use of the word "initial" is just hogwash.. So, if I were you, I would get a nice hot stone massage, go home and sit in front of a fire place and drink some coffee while visiting my future on the canvass of my imagination...:D

Initial interview refers to the main interview you have with an IO, whereas secondary refers to the Oath or any subsequent follow up interview(s) if needed.

There is no such thing as initial or final interview. It's just an interview and if you are successful, next is oath. Can you check your I-485 case number if possible and see if there is an LUD for it? If so, please post it with details, especially where it fits in your timeline. Thanks. Good Luck.

The message for I-485 will be the same but the changed LUD will show only in the portfolio list when you sign into your USCIS.gov account. Is that how you checked? Sorry for bothering you.
