N400 Filling Mistake

Husband passed interview this Monday in just 15 minutes and got his recommendation for approval. His application is based on EB/5 year GC. The only problem we just find out is that our marriage date on his N400 is wrong. During the interview, when the officer went through N400 asking about marriage date, my husband said xx/xx/1998. The officer said "but on your N400, it's xx/xx/1999". My husband answered, then it must be 1999 coz my wife filled the form and she must know the exact date. So the office just went on. But our marriage date was actually in 1998, not 1999. My husband is the kind of guy always forget birthday or anniversary. He just doesn't care.

So what do you guys think about it? Do we need to do anything to correct this mistake? If we need to, how? If we don't do anything, what could be the worst case?

Thanks in advance

No, I don't think it's required for his case. Both his I485 and N400 are employment based, not marriage based. I just checked his I485 document, the marriage date on it was correct.

I wouldn't worry about it since a one year discrepancy in marriage date doesn't affect his eligibility for naturalization.

I agree with Bobsmyth. It is not a material fact that would otherwise affect his eligibility for naturalization and also it was an error, not an intentional mistake. Just to give you an example, long after my mother naturalized, she discovered that she listed one of her trips on her naturalization application a year after it actually happened. What could she do at that point? It was an honest mistake, she did not intend to deceive anyone. Lesson learned: check your application for accuracy before sending.
