this is a silly question, but different places are using different names.

Who should the N400 filing fees addressed to:

" Bureao of Citizenship and immigration services"
" USCIS "

which one is correct?

Should I be sending 320+70 as one check or 2 different checks ( one for N400 and one for biometrics).

Thanks in advance.

One check for $390.00, paid to the order of "U.S. Department of Homeland Security".

The entire amt on one check $390 on a regular checking account check is fine.

If you are applying for a spouse, a separate $390 check for him/her too.

I sent in my application in July and they cashed my check. I had made it payable to "USCIS"

Hope that helps..

I wrote my check to the Department of Homeland Security per their guide and they have yet to cash it.

Their guide is written very poorly. In one place it tells you to send the check to USCIS and in the other to Dept of Homeland Security.

In the instructions of N-400 form, under "What Does It Cost To Apply For Naturalization and How Do I Pay?" it clearly instructs you to see the insert titled "Current Naturalization Fees" (Form M-479) in the Guide of Naturalization (the link is above).
As for the "Fees" section on their website (http://uscis.gov/graphics/fieldoffices/fees.htm), it should be updated.

I made the check out to U.S. Department of Homeland Security and it was cashed a couple of days back. See the signature below for relevant dates.

Oh cool, thanks for the good news, takes it off my mind.

Also I have a question, my dad had a few tickets, does he need to list them on his N-400 application? The guide says you only need to list the crimes you have been arrested for.

You have to list times when you have been detained, cited, arrested (and some other such definitions) by a law enforcement officer. If you got a traffic ticket, you met the first two conditions - hence, list the traffic tickets.

Also, remember to list ALL tickets. Even if you went to traffic school and got it off your record.

Hope this helps. Good time to remind you that I am not an immigration attorney or an expert! If you have a serious question about this serious step, prepare to seek serious help.

Cool thanks for your help.

I just got my check cashed that I sent to the U.S Department of Homeland Security!
