N400 Citizenship interview for Wife & Husband - Is the interview together or separate

Hi,

Both me and my wife have the citizenship interview on the same day and the same time. I would like to know if the interview will be together or will it be separate. In other words should we carry the materials (supporting documents) separately or have one set (items like Tax returns, Utility statements, marraige certificate etc etc).

Appreciate input. Thanks.

Another question: Name change during interview but not on the form

One more question: My wife wants to know if she can add a middle name thus changing her name during the interview submitting an updated form for that page (as the original application did not have that). Is there any risk in doing this.

Thanks,
Srinivas

The interviews will generally be separate - ours certainly were, and I've not yet heard from anyone who said otherwise.

Where practical we took two sets of supporting docs, the only exception being a rather large stack of bank statements that were too numerous to copy. As it turned out, our interviews were conducted 2 hours apart and *none* of the supporting docs were required, so I guess its up to you whether you think they'll really be necessary.

Can't comment specifically on name change since neither of us did that.
