N400 application

Hello,

My name is Deep Raj. I am filling my N400 application. It asks for Current Legal Name; and within that it has Last name, First name and Full Middle Name (if applicable).

As far as my middle name is concerned most of the time - I use just middle initial "S" - however in some documents like my passport it has the middle name spelled out as "Surendra". On the GC it says Raj Deep S.

So should I put my Full Middle Name "Surendra" or should I put "S" or should I leave it blank?

Please advice. Thanks

You need to use your full name otherwise that could cause issues.

if ur gc has ur middle name as S...then that is your current legal middle name, not the name on the passport..
Sam is right too, make sure u think twice with whatever u do...its a lengthy process to have ur name changed...so if u want it as s just put it as s in the application...
if u want it as sudhindra, make sure u put in ur current name as it appears on gc and request for a name change.

In GC - name appears twice.
One at the top - where it is listed as Deep Raj S.

Then there is one at the bottom where it says the full name Deep Raj Surendra.

So - what to do?
The name on top of the GC is the proper name - I think- not sure what the significance of the one at the bottom of GC is.
Do you know?

i am sorry i had a old gc and seriously have forgot as to how it looks...

anyways if u post this question in life after gc,there is ginnu and a couple of other helpful guys who will give u the correct answer..
else there is joe in immiinfo...
i have seen this in one of the threads in life after gc...just surf around u should be able to find it...
make sure u have everything right before mailing the application...you could always change it at the interview..but will save u alot of sleepless nights. :)
