N-652 approved? or not....

Had my interview today at Philly DO.

I was given N-652 with "congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval. At this time it appears that you have established your eligibility for naturalization. If final approval is granted, you will be notified when and where to report for the Oath Ceremony." checked.

So am I approved approved or there is still a chance that I will be denied with that final approval?? What is this final approval?

Also, usually how long does this take???

Anyone from Philly could kindly give any insight into the matter? Thank YOU!!!

Confused confused confused:confused::confused::confused::confused:

It means you've been approved pending any other information to the contrary.Also, your case must likely first be reviewed by a senior officer. It could take anywhere from one to several weeks to receive an oath notice depending on DO.
Just remember, your final case approval is not complete until you have gone through the oath since it's still possible to be denied up until oath date.

From what I gather, there are two reviews. One is by the interviewer and then there is another review. In any case, it looks like your interviewer is recommending you for approval. So everything looks good and you will receive an oath letter at some point.

I am curious, why did you decide to hire a lawyer? Did you anticipate having complications in your process? How much is the lawyer charging for prosecuting an N-400 application?

I have some trips lasted >6months but < 1 yr before Apr 2005. Since then I have been physically residing in the states. That's why I decided to hire a lawyer and that is also why I am feeling confused now. :confused::confused:

I just talked to the secretary of my lawyer minutes ago and my lawyer said there is an issue with my residency and it is up to the IO to decide now. So why in the world did she check congratulation! on N-652 for? Don't they check A decision cannot yet be made about your application for people who have problems with the application???:(

AHHHH :mad:

That is what they did in my case

If you don't mind what was the reason for the delay in rendering a decision on your application??

I am really confused at the moment because if there is truly a problem with my residency why would she check the approval and congratulated me at the end of the session??

Thanks
