Hello, everyone.
On April 28, 2021, my wife and I got US citizenship through naturalization. After that, we (my wife, two children, and I) applied for a US passport and the passport was issued for all four. Now, I am filing N-600 for my 2 children so they can get a certificate of naturalization. How to answer the question that says: "What is your current immigration status?" should I answer LPR or choose “other” and explain that my child is a US citizen and has already been issued a US passport? Many thanks!

Your children are no longer LPRs if they’ve already been issued with US passports, so I believe you should select Other and provide and explanation.

This question doesn't make sense, since the only people who are eligible to file N-600 are people who are already US citizens. The proposed revision of the form changes it to ask whether you have ever been an LPR, which makes more sense, but this revision has not been published yet.
