Hi

Even if we get a approved N 470 and stay out for 2 years before we apply for Citizenship, we will only be given "Partial Credit" for the calculation of the "Continuous Residence". ie., We may have to be wait 18 months before applying for Citizenship ? Is this true?

(1) We have been in the US for 3 years after out I485 approval [jan 2002].
(1) We have met the physical Presence for more than 30 months
(2) The last 2 years of the mandated 5 years [ Mar2005- Jan 2007] we are planning to go out of the US. We like to file the N470 before we leave.

If our N-470 gets approved, how long should we wait before we can apply for citizenship ?? Can we apply in Jan 2007 [ 5 years after our I-485 approval] ???
