N-470 Question

Hi! This is perhaps a question for a lawyer. Received GC in Jan 2007. My question pertains to the 1 year requirement for N-470:

Situation:
My last entry into the US (on a GC) was March 1, 2008. I have an important business trip to France coming up for which I'd need to leave the US on March 2, 2009. During this period (March 2008 to March 2009) I have not traveled outside the US. I know this is cutting it super-close, but it cannot be helped.

Question:
Do I need 365 days or 366 days inside the US? Do half-days in the US count as "full" days in the US? Essentially, what is the exact definition of "1 year"?

Thank you.

One year count from the day you travel e.g 3/12/09 for example, you have to be 3/11/2010 and if 1/1/2009 will be 12/31/2010 and so on. Simply has nothing to do with 365 or 366 days. Six months counted the same 2/12/2009 till 8/11/2009. Does not mater if Feb was 28 or 29 like your salary will be the same if you are paid on monthly basis
