Just wait couple of weeks. There are two possibilities. The Nebraska service center will open your mail. Either they will send it back to you at your home address or forward it to the appropriate SC. In your case like you said will be Vermont service center. Keep in mind you may loose couple of weeks because of your careless mistake, but I don't see it as big deal. At the same time also check with your bank and keep track of your check if that was cleared or not.

I totally agree with Atlanta_Brother. However, other option is, you can prepare a new one and mail to VSC with check and other docs, if you want to save some time in your PD.

Hi Thanks for your both responses. Both of our (my self and my wife) applications transferred to Vermont region. My check got cleared and my wife application returned since I did not sign the check. (I named my self as Mr. Mistake for this forum. I should consider this name permanently).
We spoke to couple of Immigration officer they were so nice in terms of responding. Also we were able to reach them within 10 minutes. All these process happened within 2 weeks. I am very happy with the way USCIS is working.

Make sure to post something when you finish the process. I'm curious to see if you are still enchanted with the USCIS when you get through it all.
