Hi,

I had my oath ceremony for N-400 on May 16 in Phoenix, AZ (under CSC). Following is my timeline:

Applied: July 19, 2002
Rec'v notice: August 2, 2002
FP: August 27, 2002
Interview Notice: Dec, 2002
Interview: Mar 11, 2003
Oath: May 16, 2003

The whole process took just below 10 months. During the interview, the officer just went over the application with me, asked me to write the answer to 7 civic questions and 1 sentence. The whole interview was over in less than 10 minuites.
Thanks to everybody in this forum and good luck to you all.

No, I did all by myself, as almost everybody else does. If you have a straight forward case, you should not need an attorney. But then again that is just my observations..

Congrats.

Did they ask you for Selective service documenation ? The interview letter mentions that I need to bring any selective service documentation if needed.

Former h1b,

Any male US citizen, permanent resident. illegal alien, or refugee between the ages of 18-26 is required to register with Selective Service. The website

It is not uncommon for the interviewer to request for additional information from Selective Service. To obtain a letter from them, just send them all the documentation you have (e.g. I-20, H1B approval, etc...) along with the form.
