N-400 Step 6b. Employment info --- To field

Hello,
In the application form N-400, step 6b for Employment, it says begin with your current employer which has dates From and To. From is fine but the To field....what date does one put there? If I put today's date ...would it not mean end date is today?

Please help clear the confusion....

This is what i did for the Current employment when i filed ..

From : actual start of the employement.
To : current date when completing the N400 (assuming u are still with them ........OR......... the actual end date)
Your Occupation : < Your Occupation> and a comment stating - still Employed here .

Example : Project Manager - Still Employed with this Employer.

How about part time jobs I did as consultant

I changed jobs during the years and sometimes I did work for a little while as a part time consultant to the employer I left. I always had full time employment during years but plus did some part times jobs and filed my taxes for part time as well. How should I list them?

List consulting work as you would do for full time regular work.
 
How about if my green card is employer based.

I know I might be over reacting this but, I had my gc thru employer and stay with them around 7.5 months after gc. After that project I worked has finished and there was little to do and left the company with good relations but helped them as consultant (part time) to finish up rest of it which was little. What is more my project manager left the company at the same time after project was about to finilized. Also company has declined during years so I didn't go back and work with them again as I found other jobs. Do you think this might raise a question in the interview? I have good relations with them during years and kept in touch with them if they had any questions about the projects we did.
