N-400 questions

Could someone help me with the following questions? Thanks!

- I know that the form N-400 is used for naturalization application regardless of the 3-year or 5-year eligibility. If I am qualified based on 3-year marriage to USC, do I need to fill in the employment and residence info for the last 5 years or 3 years (the form says 5 years)?

- After I got married, I went to school in another state (i.e. long-distance marriage) for 2 school years. This fact was not disclosed during the initial interview (INS never ask) and I consider my spouse's residence as my primary residence for all purposes during that time.
1) Do I need to include the student/school address on the N-400 form or just the primary residence?
2) Do I need to list the student experience on the employment history section? If so, is that going to create any problem when I apply for naturalization?

Yes, you have to fill in employment info. My green card was based on employment - but I still had to fill in details of my marriage.

On addresses, the N400 is quite clear: "Begin with where you live now and then list every place you lived for the last 5 years". There's no distinction between primary or secondary residences. They want to know every place you lived.

On student experience, again, the N400 is quite clear: "Where have you worked (or, if you were a student, what schools did you attend) during the last 5 years?" So, yes, you must list your student experience.

I doubt very much if being truthful is going to hurt your application. However, trying to hide the facts certainly could cause problems for you. Just be honest. Good luck!
