The instructions for Form N-400 (Instructions (Rev. 05/31/01)N Page 6) states
"After reading the statement in Part 11, you must sign and date it. You should sign your full name without abbreviating it or using initials. The signature must be legible. Your application may be returned to you if it is not signed"

I have been using my standard signature throughout my life including I-140, GC, etc. INS did not have any problem with it.

Do I have to go in for a different signature to meet the above guideline or skink with my standard signature?

Thanks

Just use that signature which you used on Green Card & Passport.

Don't pay that much attention "word by word" what they describe.
You would be nutts. Just relax.

An attorney (on a different forum) advised me the following:
>> "To avoid potential delays or denials, it is advisable to sign one's full name as requested by the form"

I am leaning towards signing my full name. It is not the signature I normally use (including credit cards).

What are your thoughts JoeF?
