i went to interview and it went very smooth. i past Civic and English tests and officer recommend approval of my application. officer told me that i will be receiving oath letter in 2 to 3 weeks by mail and officer told me that my oath will be taken before a judge because i am changing my name.

since its very close to holidays, i called district court and they told me that last ceremony before holidays is held end of next week. here is my dilemma, i wanted to have oath before holidays because i am traveling and i haven't received the oath letter yet. is it possible to schedule an info pass and try to schedule my oath to be taken next week? does anyone had similar case?

my district is district court of Maryland and last oath ceremony is on 17th of December before holidays

Modoshka,

You do know that you can still travel on your green card...? Passing an interview and awaiting for judicial oath won't be a problem and making an info pass is just another avenue to become frustrated. I am sure that if there was space availability for the Judicial oath on the 17th, the IO would have given you the oath letter. Just go and try, but know USCIS, the IO will probably tell you..."your green card is still valid and you don't have a problem".
