N-400 Miami Thread

Infopass Response: Interview Scheduled

I have not yet received the actual appointment letter but I have received trhu the mail a written response from USCIS that I should receive my interview notice within the next weeks. I have been scheduled for initial interview on February 14, 2008. That's like three months in advance. At least, I know my interview date and can plan accordingly. I repeat, I have not yet received the actual interview letter. :o

IL received three months in advance

I just got my IL. as confirmed before by IIO at Infopass, my interview is scheduled for 02/14/2008. this means three months of waiting. I am just waiting for the day I become a US citizen to feel real freedom. no more tracking of my flights, no more address changes with USCIS. But , I feel as if I will never stop dealing with USCIS, after oath I will sponsor my parents to come over. what a long way ahead, right? thanks and good luck with your IL

Hello everybody

I sent my application on 3/29/2007. I spoke to an officer today and my interview date is scheduled for 2/29/2008, almost a year......
Does anybody know how often Miami has Oath ceremonies?

Thanks

Just an update, i applied March 9th, interviewed November 19th, and recieved my oath date for Dec 20th, 2007... I was pretty lucky...

I believe the Miami oath are every three months, therefore March, June, September and December.

not a decision yet

:(

:(My interview was scheduled for 2pm today. I arrived about thirty minutes before scheduled and was called in by a very nice officer around 2:20 pm. The interview went smoothly after taking the oath and the officer was very nice and corteous until she came to memberships part. I acknowledge I had been an involuntary member of the young communist league in the communist island of Cuba and she took my file to a supervisor. She later returned telling me my file would have to go to special supervisory review unit for this kind of case. She went ahead with the examination. Read a very simple sentence outloud, wrote down "My car does not work." and answered the next six questions correctly:
1-What colors are the stars in the US flag? White
2-How many senators are there? 100, two from each state
3-What group advices the President? The Cabinet
4-Who becomes president if the President dies? The Vice President, Dick Cheney
5-For how many years are House Representatives elected for? Two years
6-What are the branches of the US government? Legislative, Executive, Judiciary
Congrats, you passed the tests of English and US history and government, but marked item B on the M-652 Form which states a decision cannot yet be made about your application. The officer wished me a Happy Valentine's and told me I should get the notice in the mail (no time frame). I signed my pictures and the last page of the N-400 application as well as the examination records and have a nice day!:(
For any reason, I do not feel very happy! I was dreaming of getting the congratulations your case has been recommended for approval! :(
The pain goes on until I get an oath letter! any insight on this???? thanks.
