name check completed very fast

hello folks:
my name check took a very long time for GC, however, after going to local naturalization office today, and then reconfirming with USCIS immigration officer at Service Center, I was told my name check cleared on 04/07/07, fingeprints results were sent back to USCIS on 04/18/07, same day I submitted them. So I was told I was on interview queu already. isn't that great news!!!!:D :p :) I was worried that the same thinh could happent to me like during my I-485, it took three years from application date to approval due to name check. good lucjk to you all!

N400 Sent: 07/16/2007
Received TSC: 07/17/2007
Check Cashed: 08/06/2007

Till now, I have not received the receipt notice yet. I see SSC$ number on the back of my check. (Keep in mind SSC$ and not SSC*). What is SSC$?

It is a tracking number they use to track down payments. the ssc* number is your actual case receipt number. the ssc$ is also printed at the lower right bottom when you receive your receipt notice. SSC$ is not a tracking number for case status only for USCIS internal use as far as I understood. Good luck!:)

Hold it tight. Miami is one of the slowest offices in handling with N400. My case was simple but it took me a year to get the citizenship.

Priority Date: 8-28-2006
Interview Date: 7-3-2007
Oath Date: 8-30-2007

Thanks zozo for your reply! Congratulations! I am happy to know you are now a USC. Have you applied for your US Passport yet? I am still waiting for the interview letter. I will just take it easy! thanks for your response.

Thanks !! I called USCIS when their processing time was close to my priority date. They sent me the interview letter right after I called.
I saw your priority date is close to the processing time now. Maybe you should call USCIS to see if they have scheduled yr interview. I did Info pass twice but didn't help me much but you definitely can try that as well

I applied expedited passport service once I took the oath. It took less than 2 weeks to get the passport.

slowest District Office: MIAMI

My priority date is 3/9/07, i'm yet to recieved my interview letter

Hello gnr5:
It looks like we are in the same boat. I have heard that Miami is the slowest district office processing N-400 applications. I have been in queu for interview for so many months that I just gave it up! I mean , I am no longer desperate or wasting my time waiting for the interview date, it will arrive some day, right????

Interview date

HI

I just have a friend who sent the application at the begining of February 2007. She has the interview on November 14th.

Hey Andrews,

I recieved my IL. My priority date is 3/9/07, interview on Nov 19th. A friend of mine applied in Feb, and recieved her interview date about 2 months ago, however her date Nov 20th.

I wonder if all of us get to oath in Dec.

IL letter mailed File Txed no change online

hello everyone:
I was able to make it through the system and reached an IIO at texas Service Center who told me that my file is in Miami District Office since middle last week and that an IL has been mailed. The officer was unable to tell me the interview date but told me that I should be receiving it soon. Should I beleive it? has anyone experienced this before? how does it normally takes to receive the IL??:confused:ther has been no change online. thanks and good luck!

No IL after 8 months

 I have not yet received my IL. For any reason, unknown to me, my file is already at Miami District Office, but I have not yet been scheduled for an interview. Per IIO at Naruralization Unit, all checks are completed and file is at local district unit in the interview queu. I can not do anythin else but wait patiently. any comments???

Try scheduling INFOPASS to determine how much longer until interview.
