Hi all,

I submitted my N400 application on May and FP on June. I received Interview appointment on Next week.

I read this forum and I knew that you guys can help me one of my decision about the Question 10 D. Have you ever been arrested, cited, ......? which I filled "No".

To make my story short, I was a building inspector (Engineer) for one of the city agencies which has about 1200 buildings. i was responsible to keep building fire alarm systems working in good order. During One of the building fire alarm systems repair, FD gave violation order under my name and ordered to provide fire guards. I have no authority for manpower control and inform my superiors to provide Fire Guards. They promised to do so, however, with some office politics they did not provide any fire guards. Later FD give me summonses which I received it under my name for not providing fire guards. Finally both agency have their agreements and dropped the issues. The summonses were issued to me as a representative of the agency I was working for. Not to my own behavior. (this case was happened more than five years ago)

Should I inform this case to IO during my interview? Originally I thought the question is referring to my own personal issues and I filled up with NO.

I really do not want to delay my case which is not my fault at all. Other than that I have a very clean history (not even a traffic tickets)

Please help me as quickly as you can as I am very confused

If the issue was resolved as a civil matter between two agencies, and you had no personal criminal liability, I don't think this is an issue. I wouldn't worry about it and I don't see any need to bring it up.

Unless you want to cause a fire at interview I wouldn't worry about mentioning it since this appears to be a civil matter.

Thank you Bob, New Runner,

You guys are the best. It relieved me so much. I am very very careful since I entered US 10 years ago and I instructed all my family members to stay out of trouble and acted seriously.

Thanks again and I really appreciate that.
