N-400 Interview in Newark

Had my N-400 interview yeterday in Newark, continuos residency based, DV lottery GC. Passed everything. Was asked a few questions and requested divorce decrees from two prior marriages. Had one on hands and the other one at home. Was given "Decision cannot be made" and told that N-14 will be mailed with instructions and next interview/appointment date.

Anyone knows how long it takes for N-14 to arrive from Newark? Why would I need another interview?

Thank you, Jackolantern!

Well, got a Re-Interview Letter (verbatum) yesterday.

New date is in two month and there are two requests:

1) For my divorce certificate from my first marriage, which I did not have at the first interview. This is understandable.

2) For my current wife divorce certificate from her previous marraige(we actually have a court decree with all of the stamps).

While I understand the first request, the second confuses me. It should not have any bearing on my case. The only thing I can think of is that I am told that USCIS needs this information for naturalization paperwork. Again, my case is based on residency and DV Visa Lottery.

Thank you in advance,
AEZ

What did they ask you at the second interview? Did they just look at the documents you brought and that's it?

Pretty much. IOs there have either wednesdays or fridays alotted for follow-up interviews. Although the guy before me was sent away, I was approved.

Aez,
Please let me know if your case status online has been updated when you were approved and took an oath.

thanks in advance

one of my friend just got his online status updated to Oath Letter from Interview.

My case still stalls.
it has been about 2 months now but i haven't heard anything back from them even though I send letters to the adjudicator twice requesting information.

I don't know what to do.
Do you think I still have to wait for 120 days to further action.
It seems like they lost my A-file

I went to USCIS this morning and an officer said A-file has been delivered to the adjudicator month ago but still pending for review.
he said I have nothing to do unless I have a request from the adjudicator.
I sent letters about a month ago to ask for expedited service. but I am sending another letter today.
Is there any other way to communicate with adjudicator instead of just waiting for 120 days as the officer told me?

this morning, I got a text message and email with the case update.
My case has been updated to "queue to oath"..Yeah!!!

I think this would be update to "oath letter sent" probably this week.
I hope I can finish all this before Thanksgiving.

Yes, they do. I just had one yestreday after delivering requested documents. I am now officially an American Citizen.

Hi! Quick question. How long did it take from the moment your application was in line for interview scheduling until you got scheduled the first time?

Thanks

Yeah
you were right..
I have a text and email from USCIS saying that oath schedule was set and notice was sent to me today.
