Hi Forum Members,
The instructions for N-400 Application for Naturalization indicate that documents to be submitted are as per the Document Checklist that is part of M-476 A Guide to Naturalization.
The Document Checklist contains the following 2 items which make no sense at all:
- If you answer "Yes" to any of Questions 1 through 15 in Part 7 of form N-400, send: A written explanation on a separate sheet of paper.
- If you answer "No" to any of Questions 1 through 5 in Part 8 of form N-400, send: A written explanation on a separate sheet of paper.
Part 7 of N-400 is "Time Outside the United States" while Part 8 is about "Information About Your Marital History" neither of which have questions with the "Yes" or "No" answers that the Document Checklist refers to.
Can somebody please clarify what this is about?
