I want to mail N-400 on the first week of January (2010).

In the N-400 form, first page on the top says "Expires 12/31/2009"

My Question are:

1. "What's that mean Expires on that date 12/31/2009 ?"
2. Is that N-400 form still valid if I mail on the first week of January 2010 ?

Thanks

Do not worry about that. When you are ready to file download the form from USCIS web site. If there will be any changes it should be available on line instantly and also you can type and print right there on your computer.

Don't worry..they will still accept the old form after 12/31.

No worries...typically, USCIS has phase out periods (usually few months) between old and new format form to prevent any discomfort and confusion for applicants.
