InfoPass

Hi all, I had Infopass appointment this morning. They said that TSC has collected all the information they needed. They have gotten FP reports, and Background check. Now the officer was saying that TSC is ready to send the documents to me for Interview and to Orlando Disctict Office too. But is there any reason why Orlando is not fast like other district offices? Or do they have to wait for something else? Or Is there a chance that it could be faster if they already have fingure prints and background check?

If it can help understand the process (as far as it can be understood)...

I have wondered why the applicants at nother District Office (Minneapolis) served by the same Service Center (Nebraska) run through the Naturalization process in 3 months while we in Michigan need in the best case 4-6 months. The reason may be how easily the District Office can schedule interviews.

The Service Center notifies District Offices about cases they have processed and for which interviews can be conducted. It is up to the District Offices to request files from the Service Center and schedule interviews.

In case a District Office has very few rooms for interviews (or if quite a few USCIS Officers are on leave or vacation) it may take them longer to conduct interviews.

Had Infopass appointment this morning.

Lady was very friendly but basically said "Your application is still at the Texas Service Center. Many of these take 1 to 1.5 years or longer. Don't even consider yours outside of normal processing times." In other words "don't hold your breath"

This despite being at least a month past the processing times per the website. :(

Thank you McMahon for your Information.

Looks like we do not have any other option besides waiting.
