Hello,

I have roughly a month to apply for my n-400 and I am in the process of gathering the required docs. This is probably an over-kill question.....but I thought better to clarify.

Do I need to submit the court disposition of my minor ($75) traffic citation which I got at the beginning of this year along with the n-400? (I got it in SC, I paid it off and all that I got from the county clerk was a A-4 paper saying that I paid it off).

Thanks,
Speedy1027

Not necessary. I also had a minor traffic citation and I did not include in my N-400 application and my application was not rejected.

Per instructions, documentation is not required for traffic tickets under $500.

Thanks to all for the responses. I don't want to drag out the discussion about seemingly simple issue....but if I look at the USCIS website for the check list, I found the following line item:

"If you have ever been arrested or detained by any law enforcement officer for any reason, and charges were filed, send:
An original or court-certified copy of the complete arrest record and disposition for each incident (dismissal order, conviction record or acquittal order)."

Does a traffic citation/ticket (I don't remember if the document the cop gave me had a ticket or a citation at the top) fall into the "arrested" or "detained" category?

Thanks,
Speedy
