N-400 applications in same envelope

Can my spouse and I send N-400 application in same envelope? Do we need to write a cover letter if we use same envelope? OR would it be better if we sent in seperately?

Same envelope for both applications is OK. Send separate checks for better tracking. Cover letter is not essential.

You can use a big cover to mail these, and 2 smaller covers inside this big cover to separate these. Or use good paperclips and so on.

Place each application into a small envelope. Then place two small envelopes into a big envelope to mail. This reduce the chance of getting mixed up
