hi everyonne... a couple of questions, just to clear my head. I am helping my neighbor fill out his N-400 application, i downloaded it from the uscis website, and at the top it says expires in 12/31/09.. i am worried that if he sends it, they will refuse to accept it. any advice?
and the last one, in part 7, it asks you to write down all trips you have taken to outside the United States. He goes out to Tijuana, Mexico (He lives in San Diego) once a week to visit his wife and son. Is he supposed to put all the trips he has taken down there since 2002? its confusing. Then there would be 52 trips each year? from 2002-2010?
thanks lots....

no worry, the current form is still accepted, there's no newer form:
see special instructions on http://www.uscis.gov/n-400
Please note that USCIS is currently accepting the 01/22/2009 version of Form N-400. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is still reviewing our request for an extension of this form. We will post the form with the new expiration date once OMB approves it.

yes, he should list his weekly visits to his family, maybe not on a visit by visit, but summarize & reason how many days he was out of the US to visit his family. Also, for the later interview, he should look into documenting that his main residence is indeed in the US. Since his family is not living with him, that question could come up
