Iam about to file my 485. I have this problem
My place of birth is a small village in India.
When I applied for my passport, long back, I wrote the Place of birth
as "Aakiveedu" (this is how it was called , as i remembered)
Now, before applying for 485 i realised that i need BC information
which i did not have, so i went and got my Non-availability certificate
for BC from my place of birth(my dad got that).. in that the place of birth is spelt as "Akividu" .
I also got birth affidavits from my parents, relatives which say i was born in "Akividu/Aakiveedu".
Now what should i enter in my 485 application???
Will i be getting a RFE in this regard.
Should i get the place of birth corrected in my passport(after i apply for 485, i want to get into 485 soon as my co may start layoff in coming months, so i want to make it to the 6 months window),
regarding passport change(should i get it changed in the first place???)
how do i do that, should i apply to Indian Consulate in USA , is it reliable, how long would it take???
