I am a little obtuse so do not believe me ....but there is still hope for all of you...check out the attachment.....it has listing of all the application for 140 done on aug 14 2002 and their status. so how does that help...It does not, but it tells you whether u missed the bus or not.



In my previous posting i had predicted that my approval date will be 29 april 2003, guess what ....i was pretty close to my prediction.

Chow!! and hang in there....

There are many out there who think that we are weak. But the fact is that we are juggling multiple things at the same time. Even though getting a GC is of primal importance, there are many other things that precede this need. An update like this really really goes a long way.

First of all, accept my heartiest congratullations!!

The updated list that you posted is very informative. Would you please share with me, how did you go about compiling that list.

My ND is 09/28/2003 with (EB2- CP option) and am curious as to how many people are before me that are not yet approved.
 
very simple,

i did that by sitting one night from 12 till 2 in the wee morning hours and manually typed the eac number .....

As i declared earlier, i am stupid and did what made me felt better.

it helps to know whether anybody in ins is doing their job...I cant tell u for fact, but it might feel that applications are being adjudicated randomly, but they are not. each case is different and hence the different response time. If you take a sneak peak at the attachment you will see that an officer must have had taken all the application for aug 14 and reviewed them. if i am correct then try searching for some eac no for aug15 and see if the status changes.

If time permits i will try to search for your date.....

My RD is also June1, but not yet approved.

Though there are a lot of cases of approval before and after, and even June 1.

Hi Bombay 2003,

Your info was great, Does that mean as of now they are approving AUG 14th cases...

When I called the IIO 10 days back the lady told me that they are processing cases of July 24th.

My RD is 9/28/2002 and I did that same kind of search for this day and ended up with 20 I-140's untill 50999 none of them were approved...

since you have put the effort to find the numbers can you track those or post those so we can track them for approvals.

I think you have some special powers! Can you tell when my 140 will be cleared (June 11 2002 EB2)
 
All the EAC numbers listed here start with EAC02***. Why does mine start with EAC03***. Does it mean there are still a million applications to go or is it a different numbering system all together. Mine is EB3 - Concurrent filing with a ND of Dec 10, 2002.
 
Someone on this forum already wrote about their numbering system. It starts with a fiscal year (that is different from a calendar year) and then continues with a business day number.

Dude you need to seriously kick some butt. Your application will only be approved if you hunt down the bast_ _ _ at ins. My 2 cents advice is to start calling (802) 527-4913.

why not cdrw...never mind...:p dude you are my half brother if you did the same thing as i did. by the way the person at ins who told you that they are processing cases of July 24th was evidently lying. There are several factors that affect the processing, the category, quality of documents attached and response time by your references(this is a maybe). In your case you are way ahead of others, all you have to do now is to check the status of other applicants in your time frame. if you see that others who have applied along with you or after you have received decesion then my friend you know what you need to do......call 911

yo where have you been my man, hey if i was in your shoes, i would leave everything and blast the hale marry jesus out of my lawyer. I would tell him that there is an incentive for him if he gets it done. and in the meanwhile i would also write a letter to ins....I have attached a sample letter .....hope this helps....

The numbering system used on receipts has significance.

For most applications filed at a Service Center, your receipt may look like this: LIN 99 001 50001. In this example, the LIN represents the Nebraska Service Center, where the application was initially received into the electronic system. Cases that are filed at or received by another Service Center but processed at the NSC will generally carry the designation of the originating Service Center:

LIN = Lincoln, Nebraska or NSC
EAC = St. Albans, Vermont or VSC
SRC= Dallas, Texas or TSC
WAC= Laguna Niguel, California or CSC

In the example above:

The 99 represents the fiscal year (October 1, through September 30) in which the case was received.
The 001 represents the computer workday in the fiscal year on which the fee was taken.
The 50001 represents the particular case number.

I have another XL sheet with 140 cases# just like the one Bombay2000 compiled and I noticed that most of the approved cases have EAC-YY-DDD50xxx “0 after 5”. I saw just few cases with (EAC-YY-DDD51xxx) “1 after 5”
I was wondering if the digit after 5 has some significance in the case and basically last 3 digits are actual sequence# not the last 5 digits.
Can those people whose ND is prior to Aug-2002 and their cases have not been approved yet share this digit of their case#, so that we can see if it does matter or not.

PV2002...

I had written the numbers on some piece of paper and I misplaced it... actually on that After some searches I got a message that # of searches for the day has exceeded the limit and it did not allow me any further...
I think Sept 28th is still month away from Aug 14th, so right now
it might not be of much help...
So now I am compiling that list again but slowly few in a day, once I have considerable info I will put it here.

My case was approved

There is light at the end of the tunnel after all. Here's my information:

EB2
CP option
ND: 8/23/02
AD: 4/28/03

The long wait is finally over. On to the next step for me. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting. It will happen to you too!
