My Wish List

I wish I get up one day and see that my online status has changed to approved. I open my mail box and get al letter from BCIS about approval. But here is what I wish to be in long run so as to benefit all of us.

1. One day, I get up in the mooning and hear this news. "BCIS announced that since it is taking 999 days for them to adjust the status, all AP and EADs will be valid until 999 days from the date of issue. This has been done in order to reduce the processing time to renew EAD and AP each year. This way we (BCIS) can utilize our workforce to approve 485 cases which is our prime objective".

In order to implement this change, we will charge a one time fee of $330 for AP covering three years validity and one time fee of $330 for EAD. The EAD will be valid until three years or until 485 is approved, whichever is earlier. The extra money will help us (BCIS) to hire more officers to process 485.

2. Today BCIS announced that they have started Premium Processing of all 485 cases.
- $250 fee for normal processing.
- $500 for guaranteed processing within three years,
- $1000 for garneted processing within two years
- $1500 for guaranteed processing within a year, else you get your money back
-$2000 and we will issue approval in 6 months
- $2500 - 3 months...
- $3000 - 1 month...
- $4000 - we will mail the card at your door step next day anywhere in continental US. We have no problem in doing this. In the past, we used to issue Green Card for every immigrant landing on Ellis Island coming through boat.

The extra amount will help us hire more officers to adjust pending cases.

3. Today BCIS announced that they have started issuing Interim Green Card. This card is a temporary document that allows the applicant to enjoy all the benefits of a GC holder. That means no AP and no EAD. One has freedom to work for anyone.

4. Today BCIS announced that since it took us 5 years to adjust some of the cases, we have reduced the requirement to become legible for citizenship. The number of years required are 5 years and it will include all the years that took waiting to adjust status. That means, if your 485 is pending for three years (which is very common nowadays, you will need only additional 2 years to be legible for applying for citizenship.

If anyone has wishes, this is the thread to put. We never know that our wishes will come true one day. If this thread crosses certain number of wishes, God will grant us and our plight of GC will end.

PS: I must be out of my mind to write this wish list.

FP is valid for 36 months.

Today, BCIS announced that, since it is taking 33 months to process 485, we have extended the time limit for FP expiration from present 15 months to 36 months. (Becasue you know that we do not renew FPs once you get GC and we can accept that fact, we are accepting your prints taken in last 36 months.) This has been done in an effort to streamline BCIS processes.

We are looking into many process improvement technologies such as "Just-in-Time Inventory", "Kaan Baan", "Kaizan" and "Six Sigma quality".

In future, all applications and transactions will be paperless and will be done online. This way, the National Customer Service can tell you exact status of your case.

All receipts will be e-mailed. This way, we avoid all confusion arising out of the communication. We have seen that in the past the communication went to applicants attorney or the company and not the applicant. The e-mail and online feature will make sure that all concerned get the notice.

Source of Info

What is the source of this information (or is this a joke, along the lines of your wish list theme). I am curious since my FP from August 2002 is about ot expire soon.

Dumb!

Longgc watch out!

A dumb dude is spreading your 36 month FP joke as a good news in other posts. Guys are so occupied with these issues all day around they don't know what they are reading or doing. But your wish list is with lot of insight.

That is one way coming true. All IT jobs are going to India. People say that even if economy recovers, it will be jobless recovery. This is becasue those jobs are permanently outsourced and are not coming back. Day by day, more and more IT jobs are getting outsourced.
