My wife and daughter got approval, but still I am waiting. I applied I-485
for my wife and daughter as dependent of me, but see the luck they got
approval notice on 13 April. I don\'t know the reason, It may lost in mail
or I may get today or tomorrow, lets see how it goes. By the way if in a
week time I will not get my approval, what shall I do. One thing is always
that I keep trying IIO and talk to them and what else. My wife and daughter
SRC # 00194xxxx and mine too is the same 00194xxx. RD is June 15 2000 and
approval is 10 April, almost 10 months. Any input/suggestion are greatly
appreciated. Thanks

I think you can wait some time and also check with your lawyer. It is quite possible that youe lawyer may have approval notice. Otherwise bring all papers to local INS when you go to stamp your PP. These guys have details and if your case is approved they will gladly stamp your PP too.

Relax you are ok and it is good thing is that your case is approved in 10 months time. Otherwise people are waiting for year and half.

Thanks krishna, but we don\'t have lawyer. Anyway you suggested me that
I should wait for some time, I will do it. One thing is simple that
without approving my case, how they approved my wife and daughter\'s
case, definetly mine too has been approved. Can you suggest me that
how much time I should wait, if in a week time I will not get approval
notice, shall I go with my wife and daughter to local INS office to
stamp with all my papers. Pl. do suggest me. Thanks a lot for your
valuable suggestion.

Have you checked the automated system
for your receipt number? What does that
say for your case, your wife\'s and your
daughter\'s?

The system is still telling that case not found for all of them
including myself, my wife and my daughter. So really we should not
beleive the system. Your any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi folks:Last week (27 Apr. 2001) we have finished our PP stamping including myself, my wife and daughter at local INS office Baltimore. It was very good experience, lady INS officer was very helpful. They asked me about our PP, approval, photo, I-94 and my EAD thats it. It took usonly 30-40 minute in total, so within hour we got stamped our passport. They have stamped our PP for one year ending 24 April 2002.
By the way what is the approx. time to get the plastic card. Reply on
this thing highgly appreciated. Thanks

Bhaskar,
Congrats! But I was just wondering if you indeed applied to TSC (Texas Service Center) as this discussion thread is for TSC.
If it is TSC, they obviously are not processing in a systematic order - mine is 7-1-99 (ND) SRC 99-202-xxxxx and I am still waiting impatiently. TSC is now supposed to be processing June- July 1 99 cases for the last two months (May - current month, we don\'t know yet) and your approval surprises me? The automated system does not have any message for my case yet.

Actually, this brings up a basic question for me - what is TSC 485 processing based on- is it the ND date? If anyone else has useful info, please let me know. Also, if there are others with a ND date of 7-1-99, but still waiting, I would like to hear from them very much.

Good for you! Sorry I don\'t have current info on plastic card interval. It took about two months 3 years back.

Did INS ask you any other probing questions/details/other documents etc or was it pretty much clerical processing. Did you have to return anything back to them eg EAD etc.

Mine 485 details: SRC00-194xxxxx
PD: March 2000
RD: June 2000
ND: April 2001
FP: Sept. 2000
Cat: EB2 NIW (self-pet.)
In Oct. we moved from FL to Maryalnd, after finishing our FP at FL.
Then I requested to INS guys for the change of my address. So finally
when we got our I-485 approval, INS wrote us that you have to go
Baltimore local INS and we went and finished our job. By the way when
we are going to get my plastic card, any idea or thought are most welcome. Thanks
