My TNs Status expried?

Hi,
Just found this great forum, I have a question please help!
My question is, is that reasonable for that more than one month without appling another status?

You were out of status once you stopped working, but once you left canada to get a new TN, your previous lapse is forgiven. Had you been found out in the meantime however (say you had an accident, or arrest) you would have been subject to removal and a HUGE black mark on your record.
