I got that magic email late this afternoon. I read lots other people's post after they got 485 approved, and I also trying to write something more creative, but I can't. Mixed feelings all come together. All I wish to say here is: may your magic email jump in your account soon. May USCIS approve your 485 just like what they did to 140 at early this year.

I am glad for these two 2004 (CAROL and Mkshirsha)approvals, but trust me my heart also pray for those who are waiting since 2002 in queue and they are standing before me, I can feel the pain they are going thourgh.

Congrats ! It has been a long wait for you. Your approval gives me hope since our PD is also October, 2001. I am totally fed up with the whole process and this is affecting so many aspects of our life. anyway, have fun...and be relieved that you are out of this maze...

earlier fingerprint makes the approval earlier
GAROL's case shows that earlier fingerprint may move the whole thing faster. His approval date is only 2 days after the original fingerprint appointment. I wish I went early for fingerprint - maybe they won't let me.
