OK guys, check this out.
On march 23 I received all my original documents that I sent for RFE back from USCIS with a letter stating that my case (my wife got the same thing) was approved and that the official approval notice was sent in a separate envelope. My online status didn't change however, just the last update date changed on march 18, 2005. So, I happily waited checking my mail-box every day and going online to check my status every 10 minutes. The days passed, then the weeks. I started eating my finger nails and pulling my hair out. With doubts on any success I called USCIS customer service someday around April 7, 2005 to inquire about my case and, of course, they told me that I have to wait 30 days. Today I realized that I'm going nuts and cannot wait anymore so I called again. As soon as I started talking I said "a month ago I received this letter ..." hoping that they will not ask me the exact date.
The very nice lady, Bonnie (bless her heart) took my LIN number and...
....
...
..
.
she said right away "Oh, I see what happened, we never sent it out.
The person who approved your case didn't push the right buttons
and never requested the approval notice to be sent out
. I'll contact him and we'll send it to you right away
."
What a relief
